Author Biography

Doc Spears is a U.S. Army Special Forces veteran--known as "Doc" since his first A-team--and the author of the bestselling Warlord planetary-adventure series and the Dark Operator military science fiction series (with Jason Anspach and Nick Cole) set in the Galaxy's Edge universe.

His fiction draws on his years in Special Forces that later equipped him for the long path to becoming an orthopedic spine surgeon, plus ongoing work as a defense-industry consultant and trainer who has prepared assaulters, snipers, and other operators. That real-world operational and medical background gives his combat sequences authenticity buyers and military readers immediately recognize.
