George has had numerous business ventures including auto dealerships, a chain of business colleges, real estate and insurance firms, a publishing company, a media organization, and was the owner of the NBA's Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets. His entrepreneurial efforts are sustained by his deep Christian faith and commitment to helping others achieve their dreams. George has three grown children and he resides with his wife Denise in Nashville, Tennessee, where they support communities and individuals through their George Shinn Foundation.
