Author Biography

E. Harris Harbison (1907-1964) was Henry Charles Lea Professor of History, Princeton University. His other books include The Christian Scholar in the Age of Reformation and Christianity and History. Edward Whiting Fox (1911-1996) was Professor of History at Cornell University. He is the author of several books, including History in Geographic Perspective: The Other France and The Emergence of the Modern European World.
