Fearless: Imagine Your Life Without Fear by Max Lucado
Every sunrise seems to bring fresh headlines that stir up anxiety—layoffs at work, downturns in the economy, global instability, environmental concerns, even the quiet but constant hum of personal worries. Fear has a way of settling in like an unwelcome neighbor, loud and overbearing, convincing us that worry is inevitable and that peace is out of reach.
In Fearless, bestselling author Max Lucado offers a bold invitation: imagine your life without fear. What if faith, not worry, was your first response to uncertainty? What if you could strip away every trace of dread, insecurity, and doubt, and replace it with courage, confidence, and trust?
Through biblical insights, real-life stories, and practical encouragement, Lucado shows how to break free from the prison of fear’s illusions. With warmth and wisdom, he reminds us that God’s promises are stronger than our panic, and His presence is greater than our anxieties.
Picture a day—just one day—where you live with unshakable faith instead of fear. Fearless will help you take the first steps toward making that vision a reality.

About the Author
Max Lucado is a pastor, speaker, and best-selling author often described as “America’s Pastor.” Serving Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, his writing and preaching focus on sharing God’s love with those who are hurting, lonely, guilty, or discouraged. Known for his blend of storytelling, humor, and pastoral care, Lucado’s works aim to provide encouragement that lasts beyond Sunday sermons.
Since his first book, On the Anvil (1985), Lucado has published over 46 trade books, selling more than 150 million copies in 50+ languages. His books frequently appear on bestseller lists and have influenced Bible studies, devotionals, music, greeting cards, and more. In 2021, he received the ECPA Pinnacle Award for his lasting impact on Christian publishing.
Lucado’s personal journey began in Andrews, Texas, where he grew up in a working-class family. After a rebellious youth, he turned to faith and attended Abilene Christian University. Early ministry work in Miami introduced him to both preaching and writing, and it was there that he met his wife, Denalyn. Together, they later served in Brazil as church planters before settling in San Antonio.
Today, Max and Denalyn enjoy life with their three grown daughters, their husbands, and four grandchildren, while Lucado continues to inspire through his writing and ministry.
