Included in this collection of my favorite recipes is a basic guide to building a long-term food supply, a sample menu, and ways to make many common foods from scratch. Items such as yeast, pectin, extracts, and cider vinegar are easily made using the included instructions. Also included are instructions for naturally dry foods, a basic canning guide, and a list of common ingredient substitutions. The idea behind this book is that if I could grab only one cookbook or resource from my many cookbooks and recipes, this would be it! It contains proven recipes that my family loves and uses food from my long-term storage pantry. It is my go-to recipe book. It's the only book I need in a disaster or emergency situation.
