The Superest: Who Is the Superest Hero of the All? - Paperback
by Kevin Cornell (Author), Matthew Sutter (Author)
Superhero Today, Gone Tomorrow
Being a superhero is tough. One minute you're an undefeated champion, and the next some upstart with a longer cape and tighter tights has you breathing through a tube in the Super ER.
Witness the rise of Super-Champs, and their inevitable descent to Super-Chumps. With every turn of the page, a new hero dominates the last. Experience firsthand why The Superest website is one of the hottest draws on the Web! See:
- The terrifying depilatory powers of the Male Pattern Baldness Eagle!
- The destructive creations of Fold Man Chu, the world's deadliest origami master!
- The pugilistic fury employed by the Guardin' Gnome, protector of lawns!
Each hero more deadly--and super--than the last. Each page more thrilling than the one before! Who will be the superest hero of them all? It could be you!
Probably not, though. I mean. . .did anyone even interview you for this book?
Featuring 68 all-new illustrations!
Kevin Cornell spends his days designing and drawing from his lair, in Philadelphia. Featured in such online magazines as A List Apart (www.alistapart.com) and in books such as Fantagraphic's Beasts!, he also publishes illustrations, comics, and articles on his website, www.bearskinrug.co.uk. In 2008 he illustrated a graphic novel adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. His powers include the ability to get entangled in any length of extension cord and herniating his L4-5 disc.
By day Matt Sutter works as a graphic designer in an advertising agency. By night he updates and draws comics for his site, Inkfinger.us, and contributes to various other art or comic themed sites from his Fortress of Fortitude in south Philadelphia. Previously he has served as an animation producer and illustrator for the VH1 sketch show, VH1 ILL-ustrated. His powers include forgetting names before a handshake is over and bending his thumbs back at a 45-degree angle.
