JOHN K. COX is Associate Professor of History at Wheeling Jesuit University. His main research interest is the twentieth-century intellectual history of the South Slavic lands
s teaching interests include World War I and the Holocaust. A former Rotary scholar in Hungary, and a Fulbright fellow in Austria and Slovenia, he knows Serbo-Croatian, Slovene, German, and several other languages of the region.
