Featuring black and white line drawings inspired by an art form born in northern and central Thailand, That Man tells the story of Christ as fully God, yet fully human. Artist Sawai Chinnawong employs the regions' popular distinctive artistic style originally used to depict Buddhist moral principles and other religious themes.
A meditative and teaching tool, this book is a simple yet powerful book that communicates Christ in both the Thai and English languages. The book also includes cultural notes and scripture references for further study. Author Biography
Sawai Chinnawong is an internationally known illustrator featured in exhibitions by the Museum of Biblical Art in New York and various other galleries in Asia and Switzerland. After completing his art studies, Chinnawong attended the McGilvary Faculty of Theology at Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He is widely known in Asia for his use of Thai graphic idiom to portray biblical imagery.
Paul H. de Neui is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Covenant Church. He and his wife served as missionaries with church planting and community development organizations in northeast Thailand from 1987-2005. He completed his PhD in Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. Paul has been involved in SEANET for many years, dedicated to seeing the writings of emerging non-Western and other practitioners in print for the benefit of the global church. Presently he is the professor of missiology and intercultural studies and the director of the Center for World Christian Studies at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL.
