Originally published in 1990, this volume is an important addition to the literature on war and conflict and to the poetry of the 20th century. But each poet/soldier crafted words into poetry in order to convey their thoughts, feelings, experiences. Each poem reflects immediacy and authenticity. Every reader cannot but be deeply touched and affected by the poems contained in this book. Author Biography

Jane Morgan taught in Winnipeg Schools and at the University of Manitoba. Walter C. Morgan volunteered for service overseas with Canada RGEME in 1940, obtaining the rank of Armorer / QMS.
