Thus, this book is valuable for both anthropologists and linguists. This is the second volume in the series Folklore Texts in Mexican Indian Languages. The Rupps have been conducting field work among the Ozumacín Chinantec since 1984, under the sponsorship of the Summer Institute of Linguistics.
