Author Biography
Pastor William Ligon Sr. and his wife DJ have pastored together for over 50 years. They began teaching the principles of blessing in 1973. Pastor Ligon holds a B.A. degree from Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN; and the Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He experienced the call of God on his life at age 18 and has ministered as a pastor-teacher since 1955. He has served as Assistant Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Tallahassee, FL; Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Madison, FL; the Lee Street Baptist Church of Valdosta, GA; and the First Baptist Church of Brunswick, GA. He and DJ served for six years as Southern Baptist Missionaries to Spain. The year 1970-71, Pastor Ligon was professor of Christian Ethics at the Spanish Baptist Seminary in Barcelona, Spain, during which time he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. He founded the Christian Renewal Church of Brunswick, GA in 1973, and has served as Senior Pastor of the church since then. He is the author of the book, Discipleship: The Jesus View
