Louis P. Nelson is Professor of Architectural History at the University of Virginia and the author of Architecture and Empire in Jamaica. Claudrena N. Harold is Professor of History and African American and African Studies at the University of Virginia and the author of New Negro Politics in the Jim Crow South.
