These are the first books your child can read! Perfect for kids who are just learning letter sounds, each book contains two- and three-letter words that can be sounded out. The first story uses only four sounds (m, a, t, s) and one sight word! Sounds are added gradually until all letters of the alphabet have been introduced (except q). The very simple stories allow kids to read a whole book, boosting their confidence and motivating them to come back for more. Many beginning readers are so proud they can read these books, they read them to everyone they know!

Author Biography

After teaching kindergarten for thirteen years, master teacher Bobby Lynn Maslen developed the Bob Books to satisfy her students' need for fun and effective reading materials.

Karen Wall is a Scottish illustrator and designer based in South London. Her books include the award winning Stripy Horse picture book series, Way Past series and the much loved Peggy the Pug early reader series. Her books have been published in many countries around the world including the United States, Italy, Spain, Canada, Brazil, China, Poland, Portugal, Japan, and Indonesia. In addition to working on her books, Karen also designs textiles, ceramics, toys, greetings cards, and gifts for UK retailers. She lives in South East London with her husband, Jim, and their daughter.
