"Tell Me Your Dreams" by Sidney Sheldon is a psychological thriller that revolves around three seemingly unrelated women: Ashley Patterson, Toni Prescott, and Alette Peters. Ashley is a computer whiz working at Global Computer Graphics in Silicon Valley; Toni is a party girl in San Francisco; and Alette is a talented artist in New York City.
As the story progresses, it becomes clear that these women are actually, three personalities of the same person, suffering from dissociative identity disorder (formerly known as multiple personality disorder). Each woman has her own distinct life and struggles, unaware of the other's existence. Ashley starts experiencing blackouts and discovers evidence of crimes she doesn't remember committing. As the mystery deepens, a series of brutal murders occur, and all evidence points towards one of the three women.
